Va-ca-tion

We are on a much much needed family vacation...2 whole weeks off (I haven't taken 2 weeks off not related to Christmas since maternity leave!). So what to do with 2 whole weeks and a toddler? Go on adventure! Or in Will's case, multiple adventures. We just got home last night from 5 days in Steamboat, visiting my grandmother. It was a great trip - we got to spend some quality time with my very active grandmother, and Will got to experience Steamboat for the first time. We did a little experimentation with the travel...and learned some lessons. Just a few highlights are below...

Will is still the travel king - he will happily watch a DVD in the car or on the plane (Baby Einstein and My Friends Tigger and Pooh are the only things in the "library" at the moment). He'll definitely tell you when he's had enough...

*******8/10/09 update********
After our trip to CO we spent a couple of days recovering, and then headed to Washington to meet Amelia, and see Lindsay, Doug and Ella. I was hopeful that Will and Ella would have a great time together, and I am happy to report they hit it off immediately. Will is still asking for Ella off and on! We went to the pool and a great local park, and had a wonderful time. :)

And now - back to the grind. Bummer. Will did a great job on his first day back to school this week, didn't even cry when Dave left (we were a bit worried...). New pictures are posted to the summer album!
