Busy, and frustrated

Those are probably the 2 best words to describe Will these days. He is constantly on the move - now that he's walking, we can rarely get him to sit still. He picks up an item (ball, block, toy, remote, blackberry, bucket, etc) and will carry it until he finds just the right spot to deposit it for safekeeping. The good news is that he's really predictable on his "safekeeping spots"!

One of his new favorite places to hang out is the spice rack in the kitchen. When we re-did the kitchen, we put in a slide out spice cabinet next to the stove (I know - exactly the wrong place to put it, but it was the only place it would fit!). Anyway...it is a great spot for Will to hang out and re-organize the bottles. He takes them out one by one, shakes them to see what kind of sound they'll make, and of course puts them right back - in a completely different location in the rack. Not a problem...except for the fact that I'm a complete nerd and I have alphabetized the spices so that we can find them (we have a Penzey's addiction!). For the moment, I've given up on the organization.

And now for the second word - frustrated. Will is on the brink (I think) of a verbal explosion. He's doing well with the signs and the words that he knows, but more and more often he's trying to tell us something and is getting mad when we don't figure it out. He's pointing at more things and trying to get us to name them, and is very obviously understanding a LOT more than he used to. "Out" is his latest word - used for out and for open - most often to get us to open the door so he can go outside and walk laps in the driveway.

We have video and a few pictures, so will try to get them posted.
